All of our silk products are made of 100% Mulberry silk charmeuse, which is a very delicate fabric and must be treated with the utmost care.  Extreme detergent, temperatures, chemicals, and friction can undermine your fabric, or even destroy your garment. 

For best results and longevity, dry clean your silks.

To launder at home, use a gentle detergent formulated specifically for silk.  Do not use regular detergent.

We have Bondi Wash Delicate Wash available for sale here, which is a gentle, 100% plant-based detergent designed for fabrics which require a neutral pH such as silk and lace. Wash on gentle cycle (or knits) with cool or lukewarm water.  Do not use hot water.  Hang to dry.

When you receive your robe, and to freshen it between cleaning, steam or iron with care at medium temperature.  Fabric and seams may feel stiff when new, and they will soften with ironing and wear.  Ensure iron face is smooth and won't snag your fabric.  We suggest using a soft thin layer on top of your silk for extra protection.

You can also use a freshening spray to freshen your products between cleanings - this adds a fresh scent to items between washes while removing odor. 

Note that silk is a 100% natural woven fabric, and given that all of our silk robes are finished with French seams, this implies the possibility you will see some stray threads at seams.  DO NOT pull threads from your robe, instead use small scissors to trim with caution.
